Presidents Letter
Dear Fellow Alumni,
The Lehigh Club of Boston is here for you so that you may reconnect with fellow alumni and continue your relationship with Lehigh. The club was designed to provide all alumni with a place to socialize, network and enjoy local events. Whether it is a family outing to Fenway Park or a wine tasting with old friends, we are sure to have an event that you will love!
In the past year we have had held the following events:
July 29th – The Lehigh Club of Boston welcomed President Alice P. Gast and her family, along with 19 guests for a reception before our baseball outing. A great time for all 110 attendees, our annual Boston Red Sox Outing was a huge success, thanks to Bob Geremia '69 for arranging the event.
August 7th – This year we welcomed the class of 2013 at our Incoming Student Sendoff at the home of Gary and Sarah Girotti '93. We welcomed 47 guests and congratulated 16 incoming freshman.
August 12th – Our second Boston Red Sox Outing was a smash hit again for all 110 attendees.
October 28th – Our annual Celtics Basketball Outing was enjoyed by all 28 guests. Huge thanks to Sarah Girotti '93 for organizing the event.
November 22nd – This year all 108 alumni and guests cheered on the Brown & White at The Harp, as we beat Lafayette, during the Annual Lehigh/Lafayette Telecast.
February 24th – The club held a Wine Tasting where alumni enjoyed their evening at Les Zygomates.
In addition to social events, the club also plays an active role in promoting Lehigh throughout the greater Boston area. Club members volunteer at college fairs, fund scholastic awards at local high schools and interview potential students. As we see year after year, potential students get a great introduction to our alma mater by meeting our Lehigh family through these events...and they often choose Lehigh as a result of our efforts! We are always seeking alumni that are interested in planning or running events for the Club as well.

Living the Legacy Letter
As a valued alumni of Lehigh University, we hope you will be excited about this opportunity to support "Living the Legacy" – our pioneering scholarship program for Boston area students seeking undergraduate admission. Your financial support will help us promote our regional representation at Lehigh University through the sponsorship of qualifying candidates choosing the Lehigh Life. This is our opportunity to foster a growing Boston contingent at Lehigh University – contributing to the highest standards of excellence by example through our local representation. This special scholarship program has been established to allow your direct participation. The Lehigh Club of Boston has an impressive legacy of connecting prospective and new students to Lehigh University through the loyal support of alumni. This support, as evidenced by Alumni Interviews, Holiday Receptions, Book Awards and Incoming Student Sendoffs, has attracted some of the finest students from Massachusetts to South Mountain. While Lehigh continues to raise the bar of recruiting standards, the Lehigh Club of Boston strives to meet and exceed expectations through the sourcing of individuals qualifying for Living the Legacy - dedicated exclusively to our own Patriots! Each year, a maximum number of scholarships will be awarded as donations to the program will allow. Established in 2005, Living the Legacy was conceived with the express purpose of offering financial support to Boston-area candidates. Qualifying individuals exemplify the personal and academic attributes that Lehigh seeks: leadership skills, academic excellence and a proven dedication to community through activities and volunteerism. Currently, Boston is the only alumni club to establish and offer such a scholarship program, and we endeavor to have this program emulated by its success as a model for other alumni clubs to replicate. As a vested member of the Lehigh Community, we encourage you to join us in supporting this exceptional opportunity to promote the Boston community attending Lehigh University.
