Presidents Letter

Dear Fellow Alumni,

The Lehigh Club of Boston is here for you so that you may reconnect with fellow alumni and continue your relationship with Lehigh. The club was designed to provide all alumni with a place to socialize, network and enjoy local events. Whether it is a family outing to Fenway Park or a wine tasting with old friends, we are sure to have an event that you will love!

In the past year we have had held the following events:

July 29th – The Lehigh Club of Boston welcomed President Alice P. Gast and her family, along with 19 guests for a reception before our baseball outing. A great time for all 110 attendees, our annual Boston Red Sox Outing was a huge success, thanks to Bob Geremia '69 for arranging the event.

August 7th – This year we welcomed the class of 2013 at our Incoming Student Sendoff at the home of Gary and Sarah Girotti '93. We welcomed 47 guests and congratulated 16 incoming freshman.
August 12th – Our second Boston Red Sox Outing was a smash hit again for all 110 attendees.

October 28th – Our annual Celtics Basketball Outing was enjoyed by all 28 guests. Huge thanks to Sarah Girotti '93 for organizing the event.

November 22nd – This year all 108 alumni and guests cheered on the Brown & White at The Harp, as we beat Lafayette, during the Annual Lehigh/Lafayette Telecast.

February 24th – The club held a Wine Tasting where alumni enjoyed their evening at Les Zygomates.

In addition to social events, the club also plays an active role in promoting Lehigh throughout the greater Boston area. Club members volunteer at college fairs, fund scholastic awards at local high schools and interview potential students. As we see year after year, potential students get a great introduction to our alma mater by meeting our Lehigh family through these events...and they often choose Lehigh as a result of our efforts!
